Microsoft brought the heat, and the games to their press conference. Extra emphasis on the games. Let's get into it...
Microsoft opened their conference with none other than the next title within the Halo universe, Halo Infinite. It will be powered by an all new engine called Slipspace. No release date or window. Looks like we are still going to have Halo 5 and MCC around for the foreseeable future.
After Halo, Phil Spencer came out on the stage to announce 50 more games, 18 being exclusives, and 15 being world premiers to be shown during the event.
And boy did we get more games. Ori and the Will of the Wisps was shown off along with a 2019 release window.
FROM SOFTWARE is working on a brand new samurai/ninja game that is titled Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. For a first for the developer, it looks like there will be a sort of resurrection type ability. The game has a 2019 release window.
Fallout 4 has officially come to Xbox Games Pass starting 6/10/18.
Todd Howard of Bethesda fame came out on stage for a little Fallout 76 teaser, stating the game is four times the size of Fallout 4 and pre-orders begin on June 15th.
The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is a brand new game within the Life is Strange universe and will be free to start on June 26th.
Crackdown 3, which we already knew was delayed, has a release date of February 29th 2019 and it looks like Terry Crews is going to be the main character.
Nier Automata: Become as Gods Edition (my personal game of the year of 2017) is officially coming to Xbox One on June 28th. Play it, seriously. It is fucking incredible.
We finally got an actual gameplay trailer of Metro: Exodus along with an actual release date of February 22nd 2019.
Kingdom Hearts, believe it or not, is coming to Xbox One and we have yet another release date of January 29th 2019. Looks like the game will also include Tangled, Frozen, and Wreck it Ralph worlds.
Do you still play Sea of Thieves? Well there is some more content coming just for you! Cursed Sails comes in July while Forsaken Shores is coming in September.
Forza Horizon 4 has been officially announced and for a first within the franchise, it includes full seasons along with motorcycles. Another piece of news, instead of driving against driveatars within the open world of Britain, you will be racing with real people. Game releases on October 2nd 2018 and will be included within Xbox Games Pass the same day as launch.
Microsoft then announced that along with creating The Initiative, they have purchased four other games studios. These include Undead Labs, Playground Games, Ninja Theory, and Compulsion Games.
We Happy Few, yes the game still exists, is coming out on August 10th 2018 and we got a new gameplay trailer.
War mode along with a new snow map are coming to PUBG this winter.
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition has been announced and is coming sometime this winter.
The Division 2 is real and it is being powered by the Snow Drop engine. We got a gameplay trailer as well but it wouldn't be a Ubsioft trailer without unrealistic voice over. So there is that too.
Xbox Games Pass is getting a new feature called Fast Start and will be coming within the June update, so later this month. Also, Halo: Master Chief Collection is coming to Games Pass sometime later this year. The Division, Elder Scrolls Online are a part of the service starting 6/10/18.
Next up was the Indie Showcase. There were a ton of games shown off within the video so take a look for yourself.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider was next up, this time with a new trailer along with the announcement of the Croft Edition, in which you can pre-order to gain early access to the game. Because why not? The game releases for everyone who didn't pre-order that edition of the game on September 14th 2018.
Skate 4... I mean SESSION is a brand new skating game and we got a trailer. No release date or release window at this time.
Black Desert Online is still coming to Xbox One and will actually be getting a beta that begins in the Fall of 2018.
Devil May Cry 5 is real and is coming in the Spring of 2019. We got a slick trailer showing off what looked like another new Dante and an older Dante.
Cuphead is actually getting more content in The Delicious Last Course. This will include a new playable character, a new zone, new bosses, and new weapons. DLC releases sometime within 2019.
Tunic aka Fox Zelda is going to be an Xbox One console exclusive. We got a new trailer but no release date or release window at this time.
Jump Force is a brand new anime fighting game bringing together a ton of Shonen Jump universe character to duke it out against one another. The game will be releasing sometime in 2019.
Dying Light 2 has been announced along with a brand new system that takes your choices into account and drastically changes the way the world behaves as a result. No release date or release window at this time.
Battletoads is getting a new game and will be coming sometime within 2019.
Just Cause 4 has been officially announced and this time the game will have tornadoes because duh. It is Just Cause. Game releases December 4th 2018.
Gears of War got some love with three actual announcements...
Gears POP is a mobile game in collaboration with FUNKO. Coming in 2019.
Gears Tactics is a real time strategy game coming to PC sometime.
Gears of War 5 (Gears 5) has been officially announced as well. This will follow the story of Kate after the event of Gears 4 in which she tries to determine who she really is. Game releases sometime within 2019.
Phil Spencer comes out one last time to the show floor to announce that Microsoft is working on console quality games streaming on any device. No other news at this point.
The show closes with Cyberpunk 2077 and an in-engine trailer. To put it simply, it was incredible.
