Bethesda, focusing on family and the developers, also had some games to show during their press conference. Let's see what they brought shall we?
Well, before that actually, we had a musical number. Andrew W.K opened the show with a performance for Rage 2. A new gameplay trailer was shown as well. Game will be releasing in Spring 2019
Elder Scrolls Legends was next up with the announcement of a complete visual overhaul. The game will fully release on Xbox One, PS4, and Switch later this year.
The Elder Scrolls Online Sumerset was up next. It was named MMO of the year for 2016. Wolf Hunter is a new DLC that is focused on Werewolves and dungeons while Murkmire is a new DLC focused on story.
A sequel to the 2016 DOOM is coming and it is called DOOM Eternal. The game will be fully revealed at Quake Con in August.
Quake Champions is completely free to play for the entire week. If you play during the week then you can continue to play for free once the trial ends.
There is a new free update coming to Prey and it is available now. Mooncrash is a new DLC that will feature infinite replay-ability and it is also available right now. Typhon Hunter (a prop-hunt style mode) was also announced and is coming later this summer. The Typhon Hunter mode will also be released within VR. A single player experience is also coming to VR for Prey.
Wolfenstein 2 is coming to the Switch on June 29th but that does not mean another Wolfenstein game is not in development because it is. Wolfenstein Youngblood follows the story of BJ's twin daughters in 1980's Paris. The game is slated to release sometime in 2019.
Wolfenstein will be getting a VR game as well titled Wolfenstein Cyberpilot.
Fallout 76 has been officially detailed. It is an entirely online Fallout game that can also be played entirely solo. Todd Howard quotes the game as being 'softcore' survival in which when you die, your character does not get wiped out and progress is not halted. You will be placed into a world of dozens, not hundreds or thousands. You will be able to build wherever and whenever you want. There is also an ability to launch nuclear warheads at opposing bases within the game world. The game will run on dedicated servers and a beta will be coming. The Fallout 76 Power Armor edition was announced that will include a glow in the dark map, figurines, and a power armor helmet. The game will release on November 14th 2018.
Fallout Shelter, the game that just keeps on giving, is coming to the Switch and it is available right now. Oh yeah, it is still free as well.
A brand new Elder Scrolls game was announced and it may not be what you were expecting. The Elder Scrolls Blades is a console quality Elder Scrolls experience on mobile. It will contain a rouge like mode, a pvp mode, and a story mode. It can be played in portrait and landscape and will also be coming to all other platforms including VR at some point in the future. You can pre-order the game right now on Android and iOS and the game will launch for free in the Fall of 2018.
Starfield is a brand new IP that is being developed by Bethesda. Just a teaser trailer was shown with no release date or release window announced.
Finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for, The Elder Scrolls VI has been announced and is also in development. Again, no release date or window at this time.
And that does it for Bethesda for E3 2018.
Thank you for reading/watching and as always, keep it locked for all other E3 2018 press conference recaps.
