Hello and welcome to the Nintendo E3 2017 press conference recap. Nintendo really outdid themselves this year with not only a good amount of new announcements but also a lot of games that are slated to come out this year. All of that within a conference that was a half hour long. Let's get into the announcements.
Nintendo kicked the show off with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch Fall of 2017.
Next up was the announcement of a brand new Kirby game coming to the Switch in 2018 and will feature four player coop!
Pokken Tournament DX was up next and will feature some new Pokemon.
That wasn't the only announcement for Pokemon though as Nintendo dropped the bombshell that a brand new Pokemon RPG is in development for the Nintendo Switch and will be coming eventually. No release window was given at this time.
Speaking of brand new announcements, Nintendo dropped yet another bombshell with Metroid Prime 4 which is in development for the Switch. Again, no release window was given but at least we finally know it is coming!
A new Yarn Yoshi game is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018. Check out the trailer for more information.
Fire Emblem Warriors is the next Nintendo franchise that is getting the Dynasty Warriors treatment and will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in the Fall of 2017.
Previously announced, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the Nintendo Switch will have amiibo support with Zelda items being within the game including the Master Sword and the Hylian Shield.
Next up was some The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC news! The first pack of DLC titled The Master Trials will be officially releasing on June 30th 2017 and will feature the Trial of the Sword, Heroes Path, new armor, and Master Mode.
The second DLC pack for Breath of the Wild is titled The Champions Ballad and will be releasing sometime within Holiday 2017. This is going to be the story expansion for Breath of the Wild. Finally, the four champions within Breath of the Wild are being turned into Amiibo.
Again, previously announced Rabbids + Mario: Kingdom Battle is a tactics game releasing on the Nintendo Switch on August 29th 2017. Check out the trailer for more information.
Rocket League is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch! Featuring exclusive cars, exclusive items, and cross network support; Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch will release within Holiday 2017.
Finally, the spotlight ended with some full on gameplay of Super Mario Odyssey which also now has an official release date of October 27th 2017. The new gameplay mechanic is Mario's hat in which he can use it to throw at enemies for an attack but he can also use it to take control of enemies within the world. Check out the gameplay below for more information.
Believe it or not, Nintendo did not stop there. While the conference was complete, Nintendo decided it would be a good idea to announce a brand new Metroid game for the Nintendo 3DS that will be releasing on September 15th 2017. The gameplay is reminiscent of previous side-scrolling Metroid games and I imagine fans will be incredibly excited as a result.
A new Sonic game is also in the works titled Sonic Forces. It looks to combine the 2D and 3D gameplay of Generations and expand upon it in unique ways. This will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and is slated to release in Holiday 2017.
And that does it for Nintendo's E3 2017 Press Conference.
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for recaps of all of the press conferences during E3 2017.
