Hello and welcome to the Bethesda E3 2017 press conference recap. Unfortunately there were not a lot of new announcements but that does not mean there isn't a recap so let's get into it!
Bethesda opened their conference with a little montage including a bunch of their previous games. But you didn't come here to learn about old shit, you want that new shit!
How about some VR? Well Bethesda has you covered with DOOM VFR and Fallout 4 VR. DOOM VFR appears to have a different type of movement due to being within VR while Fallout 4 VR appears to have traditional controls via an analog stick although this is pure speculation at this point considering the information we have to go off of was included within trailers. Trailers in which you can watch below!
Next up was a little information in regards to Elder Scrolls Online, which is a game I would like to give a shot on PC as it plays like hot garbage on consoles. 10 million players have dived into the game and new content is on the horizon including Horns of the City and Clockwork City!
Next up was the announcement of the Creation Club which will house mods from both Bethesda and other content creators and will be purchasable with real money via 'credits'. So yes, Bethesda is trying to bring back paid mods. Time to see if it actually works this time. My guess is no. Also, this is coming in the Summer of 2017 so not too much longer to wait to pay for mods.
How about some Elder Scrolls Legends, you know, that card game?! Well more content is coming for this as well including a Chaos Arena, Dark Brotherhood story content, in game tournaments, and the Heroes of Skyrim expansion which is slated to release on June 29th 2017 so the end of the month!
You know what the Nintendo Switch needed? SKYRIM that's what! But not only that, how about some Amiibo support?! YOU WANTED TO DRESS AS LINK IN SKYRIM DIDN'T YOU?! WELL NOW YOU FINALLY CAN! Honestly, that does look pretty cool. You know what is not cool in 2017? Motion controls, and those are present here.
Alright, finally some new content. This time coming to you from the Dishonored universe. Dishonored: Death of the Outsider will release on September 15th 2017 and will follow new characters.
How about some Quake Champions news? Quake Champions is going to have a $1,000,000 prize pool for the Quake World Championships that will take place at QuakeCon. The Beta is available now and B.J from Wolfenstein will be a playable character!
One of the only real new announcements during this conference is the introduction of The Evil Within 2. Check out the incredibly weird trailer below. I will let that speak for itself. As for the release date? Good on Bethesda for this one. The Evil Within 2 releases on October 13th 2017 which is also Friday the 13th.
Last but certainly not least was the first look at Wolfentein 2: The New Colossus which looks just as crazy as the first game and will be releasing on October 27th 2017.
And that does it for Bethesda's E3 2017 Press Conference.
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for recaps of all of the press conferences during E3 2017.
