Hello everyone and welcome to the Bethesda E3 2016 Press Conference Recap.
Bethesda came out of the gate strong with the worlds first look at Quake Champions. This competitive arena first person shooter for the PC is looking to bring Quake back into the mainstream and show everyone what it is like to be the definitive arena style shooter.
Quake Champions will be fast, feature 120hz gameplay, and an unlocked frame rate. Quake Champions will feature a diverse cast of warriors with vastly different abilities and will be tailored for the eSports community. Stay tuned as more information will be revealed at Quake Con 2016 in August.
Next up was The Elder Scrolls Legends, a strategic and collectible card game based within the Elder Scrolls universe. The Elder Scrolls Legends will feature a full single player campaign, arena multiplayer, and other multiplayer battles. The game features a unique '2-lane' battle style and will be releasing on iPhone, Mac, Android, etc. The closed beta is currently underway and more keys will be given out during E3 this week. Fallout 4 has seen huge success and shows no signs of stopping. As a matter of fact, three new game play enhancements are coming. These include Contraptions, Vault Tek, and potentially a Fallout 4 settlement builder of some kind? Check out the video below for more information and let me know what you think about that last bit at the end of the video!
If the video above didn't already give it all away, yes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is officially coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC with mod support for consoles and vastly improved visuals across the board. This will release on October 28th 2016.
Fallout Shelter is also getting more content along with a PC release! Both of these additions will be coming in July 2016.
Prey is back and boy has it changed! Coming next year for Xbox One, PS4, and PC; you are the key experiment in changing humanity forever and are threatened by an alien species. You will use weapons, tactics, and mind bending abilities to uncover the truth and hopefully figure out what in the hell is actually going on!
DOOM has only released a month ago and Bethesda is looking to enhance the experience with free updates throughout the year along with paid DLC. Among the free updates you can expect to see more Snap Map tools, game modes, etc. Also, starting today until the end of the week, you can now download a free demo of DOOM which includes the first level of the single player campaign. The demo is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
The first major paid DLC for DOOM is titled Unto The Evil and is releasing in July 2016. This content release includes three new multiplayer maps, a new payable demon, new taunts, skins and more.
The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating its one year anniversary this week and that means more content updates! Currently The Elder Scrolls Online has over seven million players and is growing every day. The Dark Brotherhood expansion is also releasing this week for the console versions of the game. The Elder Scrolls Online is also coming to Japan on June 23rd 2016.
Something major that is coming soon to The Elder Scrolls Online is titled One Tamriel. This update will completely remove all content barriers from the game and will allow all characters to immediately be leveled to the level of the zone they are in.
Virtual Realty is here and it is in full swing. Bethesda recognizes this and wants you to have the best experiences with the best AAA games within VR. It is with that being said that Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4, the entire game, is coming to the HTC Vive in 2017. They have this along with a playable tour of DOOM within VR at their E3 booth.
Bethesda ended their conference in style by showing off Dishonored 2. They revealed multiple locations within the game along with a game play trailer. Dishonored 2 will take full advantage of a brand new game engine titled Void. Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the events of the first game and will release on November 11th 2016 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. There will also be a collectors edition of the game and as a special announcement, anyone who pre-orders the game, no matter the version of the game, will receive a free copy of the Dishonored Definitive Edition.
And that does it for Bethesda's E3 2016 Press Conference.
