What a fucking bonkers year 2019 has already been in terms of video games. For those who did not know, Sony decided to sit this years E3 out, therefore Microsoft decided to step in and provide a nearly two hour show packed full of games, services, and hardware. Strap in, this is going to be a long one.
Xbox opened their show with a great showcase for The Outer Worlds, Obsidian Entertainment’s brand new RPG. A release date of October 25th, 2019 was also provided!
Ninja Theory’s new project, titled Bleeding Edge, got revealed next. This is a 4v4 melee combat multiplayer game with a wacky art style that looks incredibly badass. Oh yeah, a technical alpha starts June 27th.
Next up was a beautiful trailer for Ori and the Will of the Wisps and guess what? We finally got a release date! Ori and the Will of the Wisps will release on February 11th, 2020.
Minecraft meets Diablo? That is what Minecraft Dungeons looks like and it sure does look interesting. Minecraft dungeons is slated to release in Spring 2020 with 4 player local and online co-op.
It was at this time where Phil Spencer came on stage to give us some announcements about what this press conference is going to be about. This includes 60 total games. 14 of which are from Xbox Game Studios, and 34 premiering on Xbox Game Pass. This also includes the future of Xbox Game Studios, a look at Project xCloud, and a tease of the next Xbox console. Alright, back to the show…
With Phil gone, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order provided another new trailer. This one highlighted a few new areas and characters. Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order releases on November 15th, 2019
Here is a game no one was expecting but is being made. Blair Witch is releasing on August 30th, 2019 and sure looks to be something spooky.
Surprising literally everyone, Cyberpunk 2077 had a couple new trailers, one cinematic and the other gameplay, all culminating in the reveal of KEANU MOTHER FUCKING REEVES BEING A CHARACTER WITHIN THE GAME! Also, the release date was announced. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16th, 2020. Yeah, this was special and probably was the highlight of the entire conference. You will see why soon.
Spiritfarer was next. Cool art style. Funky game. Coming in 2020
The Battletoads are making a comeback with 3 player couch co-op action and a brand new art style along with new game mechanics. But guess what? Still no release date.
In what looks to be a hand drawn game with a lot going on, RPG Time: The Legend of Wright has been revealed. The game will release in 2020.

You know that Dragon Ball game that was supposed to be an action RPG? Well it has a new name now. Dragon Ball Kakarot and does not currently have a release date.

Remember how everyone complained about the durability, or lack thereof, of the Xbox Elite controller? Well they are making a Series 2 with more features and supposed better durability. All for $179.99 and able to be pre-ordered now. Yes, I will be buying one. Yes, I have a problem.
Dying Light 2 got a nice little trailer. This comes out in Spring 2020.
In an announcement that I never saw coming, the first expansion for Forza Horizon 4 is none other than a collaboration with Lego. Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions is available on June 13th and I cannot fucking wait.
How about a game that I never wanted, and I hope you never wanted as well. Gears POP! looks like a straight rip off of Clash Royale. I guess you can pre-order now. I suggest you do not.
State of Decay Heartland is a brand new expansion and the biggest update yet to State of Decay 2. It is available now and is included within Xbox Game Pass.
Remember when Xbox was having an issue with JRPG’s on their consoles? Mainly getting them on their consoles? Well not anymore as the FULL Phantasy Star Online 2 experience is coming to the Xbox family of consoles, entirely free, in Spring 2020.

Alright, almost done. Borderlands 3 got a new trailer showing off the new vault hunters that we will have at our disposal. Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th, 2019.
The creators of the ‘Souls‘ games are collaborating with the creator of Game of Thrones. Elden Ring is a game that will be made. That is all we know at this time.
Alright, the two big ones. First, a tease of the next Xbox console. Project Scarlet is the name and if the folks in the video are to be trusted, those are some big tech spec shoes to fill. Native 4K 60FPS (up to 120 FPS). IN A FUCKING CONSOLE. We will have to wait and see on this one. Release window is Fall 2020. Check out the video.
FINALLY! HALO INFINITE! AND THIS TIME A GAMEPL- Wait. No gameplay? A cinematic trailer only? THAT’S IT?! Oh. That really is it. Yeah, the trailer looked incredible and I am still going to buy the most expensive edition of the game regardless but I really was hoping for some gameplay. Either way, we got the release window of Holiday 2020 and it will release alongside the Project Scarlet.
