Another year, another EA Play, EA’s press conference that is not a press conference but really is a press conference. With that out of the way, let’s get into the games that were shown off this year! Hey, you guessed it. FIFA AND MADDEN! Seriously though, onto the games.
EA opened their show with a cool fifteen minutes of gameplay from Respawn Entertainments Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. What followed was a short Q&A.
Next up was Apex Legends which saw the announcements of a new weapon, ranked mode, new battle pass, and a new legend named Wattson. All of this will be coming in July.
Battlefield V was up next and this presentation was all about the new maps that will be coming in Chapter 4. Other announcements include a new max rank of 500 (up from 50), private games, and a sneak peak into Chapter 5, the Pacific Theater.
Here come the sports games as FIFA took the stage and introduced the audience to Volta Football, a fancy name for street soccer. The presentation also went into detail on upcoming features within FIFA 20.
How about some Madden 20? Well if you are interested, then there is a video for you. There are plenty of features to dive into so check out the video below for everything.
EA Play wrapped up with some Sims news and the announcement of a brand new expansion called Island Living.
Even with EA Play in the books, the publisher decided that three EA Originals games weren’t worthy of having a little spotlight of their own. Fuck it, here is a video breaking down three brand new EA Originals titles from indie devs around the world.
And that does it for EA Play 2019. Star Wars was cool. Keep it locked here for all of the E3 2019 press conference recaps.
