With E3 right around the corner, I wanted to give everyone a heads up and update on what the stream schedule is going to be like for from Friday, 6/10 to Tuesday, 6/14.
This weekend is going to be a crazy one, so crazy in fact that I will not be streaming on this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (6/10-6/12). I will be in Indiana (driving from Minnesota) for a friends wedding. I apologize that there will not be any streams this weekend but I promise, Monday is going to be something special.
Speaking of Monday, that is E3 Press Conference day! I am happy to announce the first annual JKFire E3 stream! Running all day Monday, 6/13, myself and my best friend Dom (Intimidator363) will be live from my living room where we will be streaming all of the press conferences along with pre and post conference commentary! Who knows, we may even play a game or two! But what if you missed one of the press conferences? Don't fret! Stop by this website after each conference for a nice wrap up of everything that has been announced! I am incredibly excited to try this out for the first time as E3 is always a special and exciting time of year. I hope to see you there for the festivities.
Now what about Tuesday you may ask? I am planning on doing a normal, but longer, stream. Games will be played, discussion will be had. I should be a good time all around.
Next up, I want to talk about some bot changes that I am currently working on within the stream. As you are all probably well aware, streaming is an ever growing and ever changing practice where you constantly need to be making slight adjustments to get the broadcast exactly where you want it to be. With that being said, we have had some great success with the new song request and currency features that have been implemented recently. So much success in fact that chat is becoming more command spam than anything else. Now, I am not upset about this in the slightest. As a matter of fact, I am ecstatic about this! I want everyone to be excited about this, but I also want everyone to be able to speak without being drowned out by bot commands.
It is with that being said that I am working on getting a potential bot set up where you will need to Whisper the bot the command you want to use and then you will get a Whisper back in response with the information you requested. I believe this is able to be done within Ankhbot but I will need to do some more configuration and testing. Don't be alarmed if I ask you fine folks to assist. The more testing I can do, ultimately the better the stream will become.
Finally, I want to ask for your feedback. The broadcasts wouldn't be what they are today without this amazing community so it is only fair that I ask what more I can do for you? Please let me know by either a DM on Twitter or Twitch or by leaving a comment on this post with what you can see being improved within the stream along with what you would like to see implemented within the stream.
Thank you for reading,
Joshua aka JKFire
